So today we are snowed in, and looks like it will be that way for another week or more.  My lovely neighbors have brought over two rounds of fudge.  For whatever reason I want to make it.  Badly.  However, I don’t have all the ingredients on hand.  So, what’s a girl to do?  A Fudge Link Roundup of course!  Here’s some fudge I just may be making once the streets lose their slippery ice layer…

My co-host and I had the pleasure of talking with Peter Walsh recently on our internet radio show, “The O Myth“.  I met Peter at the National Association of Professional Organizers’ Conference this year. Turns out we were both Rotary Youth Exchange Students and we also love to whip stuff up in the kitchen.  In the show, he mentioned that he unwinds by spending time in the kitchen.  Oh, I hear ya Peter.

During the show, we asked him what he made for dinner the night before, and he said he made a stew that sounded divine!  So, we begged him to send us the recipe, and so he did.

Note:  He did make a couple small changes: he browned chicken breasts in the dutch oven + he recommended cooking it a little longer.  Thanks Peter for the recipe.  Enjoy!

Ok, so bacon rules, seriously.  I would be a vegetarian, but then there’s bacon… and rib eye steak.  I thought I would have a little fun today by sharing two kinda fun things.  But first, a fun fact:

Every summer my family and I go camping with a group of friends.  There is usually 8-10 of us, and over the course of 2-3 days we go through at least 4 pounds of bacon (mostly thick cut).

Now, please don’t think that I’m bathing in bacon grease and have it every morning.  However, I do love a good uncured thick cut bacon.
